Aspen Laff Festival

The first ASPEN LAFF FESTIVAL killed.

If you like stand-up comedy (and we do)...then you probably caught some of the recent shows at the inaugural Aspen Laff Festival at The Wheeler Opera House.  Aspen Laff Festival presented a slate of 12 big time shows as well as several free impromptu comedy sessions in lobby of The Wheeler.  Big names like Christopher Titus and Caroline Rhea led the way, but some of the less experienced comics like Jim Hickox and Hippieman were hysterical.  Local comics had a chance to shine at the free kick-off event.  Comedy always scores in Aspen.  Remember the HBO Comedy Festival...it was always one of the highlights of the season.  See A-Spin's take on the final year...click Entourage is Real and F-Bombs.

The Wheeler has to be one of the best venues in America.  The history, the acoustics, the AAA location in the center of town.  Its a always a pleasure and a privilege to see any type of show at The Wheeler.  Thats why we're excited about 7908, The Aspen Songwriters Festival.   John Oates and The Wheeler are joining forces to bring Shawn Colvin, Keb Mo, Donavon Frankenreiter and many more to Aspen to perform and share their love of songs.  7908 is more than just the altitude of Aspen , its gonna be BIG TIME FUN.  Mar.30-April 2, 2011.
