The White Room / KSPN Apres Live

The White Room on Aspen Mountain.Was 3/27/10 the BEST POWDER DAY of the season in Aspen? Maybe so? Top 5 for sure. Mother Nature deposited 10"-12"of the fluffy White River Forrest POW POW on Ajax last night. It got so gnarly overnight (wind, snow, cold) that the 13th Annual Elk Mountain Grand Traverse  became the "grand reverse". Racers were sent back to Crested Butte and the race was cancelled or at least delayed.  Conditions were hard and slick underneath, but super-soft on top. A full-on winter storm on March 27.......niiiiiice. Everybody in Aspen was out on the four mountains. Tourists, locals, rippers, shredders, free healers, kids, seniors--everybody had a blast. 

After stomping the POW on Ajax, AspenSpin sped over to Viceroy Snowmass (yes, its true) to participate in Saturday Apres Live with KSPN (the Valley's Quality Rock).  It was the culmination of a season long contest with the grand prize winner scoring an all expenses Heli-Trip to Valdez, Alaska.  The pool at "the Vice" was rockin'.  The winner is....... a snow boarder???  Congratulations to Madeleine Hawken, have fun in AK.  Click  APRES LIVE for PIX.
