The Stars Shine in Aspen (again).

Shining Stars Go BIG in Aspen. click 4 pixThe Shining Stars Foundation hosted their annual Winter Games at Buttermilk Mountain in Aspen last week. Shining Stars Foundation and their team of dedicated volunteers provide support and recreational  opportunities for kids with Cancer and other life-threatening diseases. The 2010 Shining Stars Winter Games was a HUGE success as over 50 sick kids got to GO BIG for a week in Aspen.

AspenSpin had a chance to meet and greet the Shining Stars again this year. Watching these kids bond with each other is heart-warming.  The kids come out of their shells as they rip ski (and snowboard) runs down B-Milk and party like rock stars at the Disco. Many of the children are isolated and separated from their friends because of their medical conditions.  At Winter Games, they meet other kids with similar issues, they get to form new friendships with young people "just like them".  Winter Games allows them to forget about the tests and medications for a week of activities and ....just be kids.

Click Shining Stars to see how you can contribute.  BALD is BEAUTIFUL.
